You’ve built something remarkable. The balance sheet reflects years of late nights, calculated risks, and grit. By every cultural metric, you’ve "arrived." But if you’re honest, there’s a quiet, persistent tension in the back of your mind. It’s the feeling that while the numbers are growing, the meaning behind them is thinning out.
I see it often with the entrepreneurs I work with. Whether you are navigating the complexities of a $50M enterprise or you’re in that "emerging affluent" space of $1M to $5M in assets, the burden is the same. We call it "same heart, different zeroes." The weight of stewardship doesn’t change just because the decimal point moves.
The reality is that the most dangerous place to be in your Christian walk is to be a successful Christian. Outward success breeds a subtle, lethal spiritual complacency. It’s easy to mistake God’s provision for your own prowess. But if your business strategy stops at the exit ramp of financial security, you’re missing the most important metric of all: your Eternal ROI.
The "Enough" Barrier and the Emerging Affluent Gap
Most traditional wealth firms aren’t built for you. If you’re in that $1M–$5M range, you’re often too big for a retail bank’s cookie-cutter advice but too "small" for the high-end family offices. You’re stuck in the middle, looking for a plan that prioritizes your life outcomes over a spreadsheet.
The first step in any legacy strategy isn't a tax maneuver; it's defining "Enough." Without a finish line, you’ll spend your life running a race you’ve already won. I’ve seen business owners hit their "number" and keep grinding simply because they didn't have a plan for what comes next. They were afraid of the void.
Impact Dividends are the true ROI of generosity. When you decide how much is enough for your lifestyle and your family’s future, you free up the rest to be deployed for the Kingdom. This is where success shifts to significance.

The Quarterback Role: Coordinating Your Kingdom Exit
When it comes to your exit strategy or succession planning, you don't just need another "expert" in the room: you need a Quarterback.
You likely have an attorney, a CPA, and maybe an insurance guy. They are all great at their specific positions, but who is calling the plays? Who is making sure the tax strategy aligns with your desire to fund Bible printing in unreached languages? Who is ensuring your business exit doesn't just result in a pile of cash, but in a legacy that protects your family and provides for your community?
That is my role. I coordinate the specialists to execute a play that reflects your heart. We move from safe stagnation to active growth. Think of it as reclaiming the "sword of Goliath": using your past wins, the lessons you learned in the trenches of business, as assets for future obedience.
The 2-Week Test
If you want to know how healthy your current legacy plan is, take the "2-week test." If you had to step away from your business for two weeks: no phone, no email, no "just checking in": would it thrive or dive?
If it dives, you don't have a business; you have a high-paying job that owns you. A true legacy-driven business is built to outlast the founder. It’s built on a foundation of stewardship that views the company as a "Redeemer": a vehicle to protect your team, serve your customers, and fund missions like church planting and outreach to the homeless.

Stewardship as a Redeemer: Moving from Success to Significance
In 1 Samuel 14, we see Jonathan taking bold, faith-filled action while others sat under a pomegranate tree. He understood a fundamental truth: nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few. He didn't wait for a "guaranteed" outcome. He moved because he knew whose side he was on.
This is the antidote to "Inaction Regret." Many business owners wait until they are "ready" to plan their exit or their giving strategy. But legacy isn't something you leave; it’s something you live. Waiting is the biggest risk you can take.
When we talk about strategic philanthropy, we aren't just talking about writing checks. We’re talking about:
- Church Planting: Establishing gospel outposts in growing communities.
- Overseas Missions: Taking the light of Christ to the darkest corners of the globe.
- Homeless Outreach: Being the hands and feet of Jesus in our own cities.
- Bible Printing: Ensuring every tribe and tongue has access to the Word.
This is where your business success meets eternal significance. This is the Eternal ROI.

Gradually, then Suddenly
Legacy is rarely built in a single, heroic moment. It’s built "gradually, then suddenly." It’s the result of long-term obedience in the same direction. It’s choosing to honor God with the first $1M just as intentionally as you would with $100M.
Remember, legacy is what others accomplish because of you. It’s not about your name on a building; it’s about the people who are empowered, the souls that are reached, and the families that are transformed because you chose to be a steward rather than an owner.
Don't let the "Stronghold" of your current success keep you from the "Forest" of active growth and Kingdom impact. It’s time to move from the cave of Adullam: where many leaders hide in their distress and discontent: and become the champion God called you to be.

Let’s Build Your Playbook
